I am a faculty member in Information Systems & Decision Sciences at the School of Business Administration, Dalhousie University, Canada. I am looking for a couple of graduate thesis students whom I would supervise in our valued Interdisciplinary PhD Program (IDPHD) at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada.
The Dalhousie University Interdisciplinary PhD is an extremely flexible yet rigourous degree. While you will not have to become a yoga expert to get the most out of our flexibility, you must take initiative to get what is best for you. After perusing our web pages, your first action should be finding a supervisor. Your supervisor will help you write your Statement of Interdisciplinary Research Interest (SIRI) as well as help you select other members for your committee. Once accepted, you will meet with your supervisor and committee members and outline a program of study that meets your goals and satisfies the program standards. Requirements:
Must have keen interest in, and sound understanding of, one or more of the following areas:
• Decision Support Systems
• Knowledge Management / Management Information Systems
• Supply Chain Management / Operations Management
• Layout Optimization
• Soft Computing
Academic Qualifications:
M.S. Degree with a good GPA in such fields as Industrial Engineering, Operations Research/Management, Management Information Systems, Knowledge Management, Business Administration, etc.

• Desktop Support. • Windows XP Professional,2003 and 2008 Operating system. • Microsoft's DNS \ WINS, DHCP and Active Directory services . • MS Exchange. • Third party backup utilities, specifically Veritas Backup Exec. • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007. • VMWare and ESX. • SAN Technology. • Working knowledge of ITIL.
