King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals awarded Ahmad Abdul-Jabbar Al-Yamani (Arabic: اليمانى - احمد عبدالجبار احمد) a MS degree in 1998. He was a major of Computer Engineering, a program offered by the department of Computer Engineering at the College of Computer Science & Engineering.

Ahmad Al-Yamani is an assistant professor in the computer engineering department at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He received a PhD in Electrical Engineering and an MSc in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford. Before that, he received an MSc and a BSc in Computer Engineering from KFUPM. In 2002 he was appointed as the assistant director of Stanford Center for Reliable Computing and in 2004, he was appointed as a consulting assistant professor in the computer systems lab of the electrical engineering department at Stanford University. Ahmad served as an adjunct faculty at Santa Clara University. He also had some industrial experience in VLSI design and test with the advanced development labs of LSI Logic and in computer networks performance analysis with AMD. Ahmad is involved in research in VLSI design and test, design-for-testability, built-in self-test, nanotechnology electronics reliability, computer-aided design automation, iterative heuristics and their parallelization, and reliable computing.
